Support Our Charity

We are a registered charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (514283).  The centre was originally built in 1999 as a youth wing to accommodate ABC Youth Club and to benefit those living in Awsworth and the surrounding areas such as Babbington and Cossall.

Our own community groups are all free to attend and we do not receive any funding from the local council. Instead, our income comes from hiring the place out to other groups that meet our charitable aims, sales in our youth club tuck shop, receiving grants from other organisations or donations from members of the public.

Some of the ways you can help our charity are shown below. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Volunteer - adult groups

Could you spare some time to help with our newest groups?

Stitch 'n' Sip is Monday 10-12 and Brew & Board is Wednesday 10-12.

Help with making drinks, setting up/clearing away and getting involved with the games or activities would be appreciated to help make these groups as valuable as possible for our community.

Please come along and see how you can get involved.

Volunteer -youth club

Our Youth Club is run by volunteers and aims to be open weekly including over the school holidays. This is, however, dependent on getting more volunteers to help as we need two per session.

If you could spare a couple of hours just once a month that would make such a difference to the children and the core volunteer team!

Please contact us for a cuppa and a chat about how you can get involved.

Volunteering is actually shown to be good for your health as well as being a great way to get involved in your local community.

Click on the button below, send the completed form to hello@awsworthyacc.co.uk and we'll be in touch.

Donations

We have created an Amazon Wishlist for an idea of some of the things we would love to have for our various community groups. These include requests from the children for our youth club, games and equipment for our free community groups or even the basics like copier paper.

You can find the list here.

If you would prefer to donate money to the charity this can be done at the centre during the group session where we will have a donation box or by bank transfer.

Please let us know if you like to support a particular group. You can find our details here.
